I’m Richard Bruce, creator of the 5 Move System for Endurance runners.

For over 30 years I’ve worked in running, coaching, movement, and performance development — helping runners build better movement, improve efficiency, and stay durable.

The 5 Move approach combines movement skills, rhythm, coordination, and practical strength work to help runners move better, train smarter, and perform when it matters.

Movement Skills

Running is a skill that can be learned and refined. The 5 Move System breaks down complex running mechanics into five clear, teachable shapes. By mastering each shape individually, then connecting them, runners develop efficient, natural movement patterns.

Force Production

Efficient running isn't just about form—it's about generating and then managing force effectively. I teach runners how to create spring-like energy through proper loading and unloading patterns, maximising power output while minimising injury risk.

Physical Preparation

Durable runners need more than just technique. My programmes include targeted strength work, mobility exercises, and recovery strategies that support long-term development and keep you running strong for years to come.
